<Onta ware>
Onta ware is pottery made in the Onta-Sarayama region, located in the mountains of Hita City, Oita Prefecture.

This pottery has a long history dating back to the Edo period, and even today all processes are made by hand without the use of machines, preserving the same manufacturing methods as back then.

Due to these traditional pottery techniques, it has been designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Japan.

Unlike uniform items made by machine, you can enjoy the unique texture that is the benefit of handmade products, as well as the special feeling that each item is "one of a kind."

We hope you will enjoy Onta ware, which has been loved in the local area for many years as everyday tableware, in a variety of situations.
